Black cumin has a very aromatic-intense flavor, which is particularly suitable for oriental cuisine - but also brings out the best in many other dishes. Pressed to black cumin oil on the one hand very easy to dose and on the other hand rich in valuable nutrients. The raw food oil of Ölmühle Solling stands out above all for its high quality: The black cumin seeds come from Egyptian organic farming. After cold pressing, the oil is neither deodorized nor refined. In this way, it takes on a very gentle and balanced aroma that - unlike oils of a poorer quality - does not "scratch" in the aftermath. The taste is reminiscent of a mixture of sesame and cumin with a slightly spicy, peppery aftertaste.

 

What you should know about black cumin oil

Black cumin has been used in oriental countries for over 2000 years - for optimal seasoning, but also for health reasons. After all, black cumin oil is particularly rich in the doubly unsaturated linoleic acid and also contains a variety of valuable essential oils as well as bitter and tannic substances. Due to the high-quality fatty acid spectrum, black cumin oil should rather be used pure or as a seasoning oil and not heated above 90 degrees. Ideally suited also for external applications - for example as a rich bath additive, hair treatment, or skincare product.

To best preserve the valuable ingredients, it is recommended to store the oil in a dark and cool place - for example, in the kitchen cabinet or a drawer. Once opened, consume quickly. To extend the shelf life, you can freeze the black cumin oil if necessary.
