An in-vitro study conducted directly with the bentonite from effective nature has demonstrated the impressive binding capacity of this mineral clay with regard to lead, cadmium, mercury and caesium. For this purpose, solutions of artificial gastric juice containing 2.8 g of bentonite per substance were prepared and left to stand at 37°C for 1.5 hours. After a further standing time of 6 hours (at 38°C, in a basic environment) the bentonite was filtered off and the concentration of the substances in the remaining solution was measured. The result: both lead and cadmium could no longer be detected; the caesium concentration was reduced by 72%, that of mercury by 50%.
